The GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment believes in empowering our communities, members, and employees through education. That’s why each spring we award eight $2,500 scholarships to students attending or bound for college in the coming fall.
It’s easy to apply, and there’s no essay required. Simply submit a half-page application, a letter of recommendation, and a video of yourself answering three questions.
Note: This year’s application window has closed. Thank you and good luck to all our applicants! Scholarships will be awarded during a ceremony in late May. We’ll contact each award recipient with details.
Eligibility:
- Must be planning to attend or currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution or vocational/trade school in the fall semester
- Must have a minimum of a 2.50 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale
- Must be a Great Lakes Credit Union member or open an account with a deposit of at least $1.00
Award Criteria:
Scholarship recipients are chosen through a process that evaluates the following areas: video answers, reference letter, academic success, community/school involvement, and work history.
